Quick thoughts

Does it matter who starts the noise?

This year, International Women’s Day has two themes floating around—March Forward: For ALL Women and Girls and Accelerate Action. And there’s a bit of chatter about which is the ‘right’ one.

But here’s the real question: Does it matter?

If the goal is to celebrate, elevate, and advocate for women—socially, economically, culturally, politically—does it really matter what banner we rally under?

Does it matter who starts the noise?

In the world of communication, momentum is everything. The more voices, the more noise, the more impact. Public advocacy isn’t about control—it’s about amplification. If women are benefitting, if progress is happening, then the message is landing.

So let’s not get caught up in whose theme is ‘official.’ Let’s focus on what really counts: raising women up. However we do it, let’s just do it louder.
